This policy explains how Best Utah Real Estate Agents ("we," "us") handles information on bestutahrealestateagents.com (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you nominate an agent, we collect what you enter in the form:
- Your name and email address.
- Whether you're a past client, an industry professional or an agent nominating yourself.
- The agent's name, brokerage and website.
- Anything you write about why you're nominating them.
If you serve as a client reference during our research, we also collect your responses to our questions.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the site's hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't currently use analytics or tracking tools. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
How we use it
- To review nominations and research agents for the Utah Rankings.
- To contact you about a nomination you submitted.
- To operate, maintain and secure the site.
- To comply with the law.
What we share, and what we don't
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't share your contact details with the agent you nominate.
- Client reference responses are confidential. They're never shared with the agent or published.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider, and only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep nomination and reference information only as long as we need it for the research cycle it was submitted for and any follow-up, then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information you've submitted. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Other websites
The site links to other websites, including agents' own sites and state agencies. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date above.
